Reopening Checklist

Have you been closed for a while and need to know what to check before re-opening?

Remember to follow all the steps below at least a day before opening your doors to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible! 

 

Step 1)  Make sure you’re still logged into your POS app

Simply tap on your POS app on your iPad to open the application. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it by logging into the back office at pos.thegoodtill.com and change your password under Users > Admins. Similarly, if you’ve forgotten your password to your back office then simply click on the “forgot password” link from the login page. 

Please note that for security purposes the Support Team can’t see or change your password for you.

If you get a “beta has expired” notification, this simply means that you were previously on a testflight version of the app, which has now expired. All you’ll need to do is go to your App Store, search for “SumUp POS”, and download the application once again and go from there.


Step 2) Make sure your POS app is up to date

To check that you’re on the latest version of the SumUp app, just tap on the cog icon at the top right of your screen. From there, you’ll find an App version number at the bottom of the menu. Anything lower than an 9.2 version will require an update; just open up your App Store, search for “SumUp POS” and tap update. 

Step 3) Perform a test print

In your POS app, tap on the printer icon at the bottom of your screen and click on Printer Status. Next to each of the printers you see under the current printer settings, go to Print Test. If it's working, it should print out a slip of paper - repeat this for all the iPads that you have. Step 4) Test your Goodeats page

If you're using Goodeats, then remember to put a test order through to ensure the order comes through to the right till and prints off as expected! It's also a good opportunity to check if your menu looks correct and if your opening hours are setup correctly.
