Check if the printer is connected to the iPad via bluetooth by following these steps:
Press and hold the red button at the back of the device until it starts flashing. This will open up the connection.
On the iPad, navigate to the home screen and click on the iPad’s settings button.
Go on the Bluetooth settings on the left hand side.
Make sure ‘Bluetooth‘ is enabled by toggling on the switch at the top.
Within ‘MY DEVICES’, make sure the Printer, labelled ‘Star Micronics’ or TSP100 is connected.
If the printer is not connected, tap on ‘name’ and wait for it to connect itself.
If it says ‘Connection Unsuccessful’, call The Good Till support (020 3322 4095)
Again, in order to check if the iPad is connected to a printer, open The Good Till app, tap on the printer icon, and select “Printer Status”, it will show all the printers connected to the iPad.
If the printer is not pairing, you can try restart the iPad and the printer to reset all connections.
If the printer IP address is not the same as the one set in the back office, please update by going to your back office.
Select the ‘Setup‘ tab on the left-hand side and then click ‘Printers’ from the drop down menu.
Identify the relevant printer and select ‘Edit‘ by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the printer bar.
Ensure that the printer’s IP reads BT:TSP100.
Do not forget to click ‘Submit‘ to ensure the changes are saved.
In order to further check if the iPad is connected to a printer, open The Good Till App, tap on the printer icon and select ‘Printer Status”, it will show all the printers connected to the iPad.
